Thank the lord I never got to learning about primary 'levels'. It was so complicated and there was never the time.

It was parents' evening yesterday and the system has been changed so us two parents and the teacher were all talking the same language. It was so nice. Even though they used the 'average' word. Grin

Primary schools have been told to ditch giving out levels, except for Y2 and Y6 SATs. Apart from that they are meant to make up their own system.

Bloody stupid, if you ask me as a lot of parents were just about getting to grips with the system. Now they have to start again.
