You do know that Channing is a girl's school?

Apologies, meant DD Sad I have one of each and got confused when typing.

Easily done. (The confused bit) But on the whole, best, if possible, to remember their names, and not confuse those. I find.

But anyway I have no direct experience of Channing other than having been to a few events at the school over the years.. They are in the process of a significant upgrade of their facilities on their main site, which were already very good I thought. They may be feeling some market pressure from Highgate School's decision to go co ed.

A good friend of mine sends her daughter there and really likes it - says not an exam factory, they are encouraged to think and be independent. They have 8-10 applicants per place at reception so I doubt they are too worried about pressure from Highgate! Single sex education is very popular for girls, probably less so for boys as evidenced by the large number of boys schools that have gone wholly or partly co-ed over the last 10 or so years, I don't know of a single girls one that has done the same.

PS your OP sounds slightly loaded as if you are looking for an uncomplimentary insider's view. What do you want to know, what have you heard that you are looking to back up or disprove?
