Haringey Schools:Alexandra Primary

Hi,
Does anyone one have any experience of Alexandra Primary School in Haringey? Either a child who attends there or knows someone with a child there? My LO is starting school in 2015, and with the current crazy scramble for spots at my nearest schools (bounds green and Rhodes), this seems the one we would be likely to get into based on this years distances.
Thanks.

I do. Do you have any specific questions ?

Thanks for replying! Went on a tour last week, and whilst the head was nice and academically the school is fine, it didn't seem as cosy and nurturing as other schools we visited. I guess I have less specific questions, and am more asking for feedback on these areas, which to us is more important than results. I was told there was no pta, and whilst I most definitely want to get involved in school life, and would not be averse to help setting one up, wanted to gauge what kind of parent support exists. We were there only an hour, so it was only a brief snapshot. Sorry, this is not specific at all!

my friend was there as part of her teacher training. Large amounts of children who first language wasn't english, very transient school population.
No pta would ring alarm bells for me.

Thanks hifi, really useful to hear. Finding it hard to get any parent feedback about the school. Either Alexandra or Trinity Academy is our likely option for entry, so trying to get as much info from personal experience as possible, as an hour whizzing round a school on a tour is not enough!
