Reluctant writer?

At Xmas of YR, DD wrote out 30 Xmas cards in one evening, but now in Y1 she doesn't even want to write one birthday card.

I think YR homework has put her off writing. How can I rekindle her love of writing?

Tell her to write without worrying about the 'correctness' of her spelling.

New pen / pencil? DD's willingness to write thank you letters last Christmas was much increased by a couple of glittery items of writing equipment in her stocking!
