My son is sitting the assessment for Manchester Grammar Juniors next month. I've read that a lot of people get their children doing Bond books etc to prep them. Is this really neccy? I've been told that in Juniors they are looking for spark and potential vs absolute testing.
I have a very outgoing and confident, hugely sporty boy who is in the top stream for numeracy and literacy. He's a big thinker. I'm really not keen to start "teaching him to test" as I worry about stifling his creativity, which is what many schools do to secure results without breadth of knowledge.....although we're hoping not MGS.
Does anybody have any advice? I'm also nervous about the bus for such a young boy - any insight?
Thanks so much in advance
