Go with your gut feeling, then look at Ofsted etc.

Have you visited any yet?

I went to one today (the one I want dd to go to) it was fab. I think gut feeling is so the way to go.

I spoke to the local catholic primary school today they were so rude and unfriendly. Told me that dd would have no chance if I wasn't a catholic with good references. I said I wasn't anything but they were my local school. She also told me that they are 75% church funded which I know to be a pile of crap so may complain.

I'd like him to go to the one the older ones went to but not sure of my chances. The catholic one is my nearest too..going to look next week, but dont think I have a hope in hell!! well not saying things like that I havent!!!

Is this for the ds who is just 2 ?! Do they have a nursery for rising 3's

Good luck with deciding. I was going to send DS to the local school - i had visited 2 others and preferred our local school - but made the mistake of visiting one 15 mins. drive away which I thought was fantastic - so friendly and caring, the children seemed really happy to be there, with loads of imaginative activities and a fantastic outdoor space. I can't decide either!!!!! CD, am ROFL at the idea of a "Catholic with good references", aged 4. I'm allowed to laugh, as a failed Catholic!

I thought I know which school I wanted for DS1 based on what other people had said, but when I visited it I hated it. I went to see one I had no intention of sending him too, I just wanted some point of reference, and it turned out to be fab! If you have a choice it's worth looking at a few.
