Wokingham primary schools

Hello
Thinking of moving to Wokingham (from London). Would be so grateful for info on the primary schools (in wokingham itself)…
Which ones are people really happy with? And how close do you have to live to get in?
Thanks so much for any help. I am starting from scratch so any info would be helpful… which ones do well academically but also which have a good 'feel' where children are really happy…

I don't live in Wokingham but have friends that do and I know they have had a lot of problems the last few years with oversubscribed schools and siblings being given different schools miles apart. Might be worth a quick google as I know it was in the local press etc.

ALL the primary schools are fab, even the ones in the 'less nice' areas (to be fair, all areas are lovely). There is a fair bit of snooty-ness around, but in my opinion and experience, they are all great.

There is an over subscription issue and you would need to research the area you choose to live in, some parts end up a long way from a school, but in terms of quality, they are all good.

They are vastly over subscribed with not enough places for the amount of children needing them. The only part that isn't too bad is finchampsted. If your children are still toddlers and you move to the school doorstep, you may be lucky.

Would be so useful if anyone can give me any idea of how close close is for the school places..
Eg for Wescott infants / Westende Junior, which roads have generally been in/out ?
If you lived close-ish to those and didn't get in where are you next allocated?
