A friend has told me about a free online encyclopedia site: www.q-files.com. I just wanted to recommend it as I know it can be hard to find really good (free) info on the net for kids :).

I always find the website of Woodland Junior School to be v. good when it comes to primary research homework.

Yes, Woodlands is really good too, especially on British history.

I find that if you add the words "Key stage 2" in quotes to your google search, you will often get age-appropriate sites.
