A question about worship in school

I noticed a thread on here a earlier this week about RE which got me thinking about worship in my Dts school, (they have just started reception)
I hadn't really thought about it before, but now I am quite curious and wonder if anyone can answer a couple of questions.
We live in a very diverse area, is worship usually culturally diverse, or do dc mainly learn about different cultures and religion in RE ?
If dc are learning about religion in RE, what do they actually get out of worship ? Is it an uplifting experience life coaching sort of thing, a genuine worship thing, or a tick box because ofsted say they have to.
I am genuinely just curious, it doesn't bother me at all that Dts will be involved, (me and dp are atheists) I just wonder why they do it ?

Often the "worship" will be about morals and being kind. There will be an agreed syllabus for RE teaching with the local religions all involved. Schools of a religious nature will take the daily act of worship more seriously but in many non religious schools the daily act of worship is "light touch" and much more in keeping with what most parents want their child to be, eg helpful, caring, showing concern for others, friendship, honesty, etc. Worship has not, in my experience, been about different religions, that is covered in RE and possibly not until year 3. Ask the school for their worship "topics" and their RE syllabus. That will help you see how the school approaches the two.
