earlier finish for infants

My son's school has changed their hours so that the infants finish 15 mins earlier than the juniors. I wouldn't be so bothered if it didn't happen to be the same finish time as my daughter's preschool so I have to be in two places at once... The school and preschool are a 15 min walk apart Originally when we applied it was a 3.30pm finish.

Anyway a small problem - but can anyone tell me how they've got around similar problems? I don't know anyone at either who could help me out (yet anyway!)

Non school child sorry

Yes I think picking up my dd earlier is the answer. I will tell them on Monday - I can't be the first with this issue.
Thanks! I'm being a bit dim about it.

I can see it being very likely that there are many other infants parents that also use the pre-school?

In which case if you get together you could ask pre-school to adjust their hours to match?

Sadly not - there are about 5+ schools that parents send their kids too around here! They have later finishes - the issue is that our school is now going for an earlier finish.

Pre school hours arent enforceable as school, you can take them out whenever you want (even for holidays etc) so pick up earlier. I can't imagine you're the only one.

How annoying! What about people who have children in both key stages? They'll be standing on the playground for 15 minutes...hardly in the best interests of the children!!
