I'm calling out to parents who have first hand experience of this school or anyone who has heard from close family/friends about how good this school is academically & what it's like socially? It currently has an OSFTED outstanding rating but last inspection was 6+ years ago & i've heard from existing parents, through the grapevine & can see from DFE's average point score for last 4 years that it's slipping every year. Apparently it's set to go down a rating to 'Good' in the next inspection.

It's almost right opposite us, so DS will probably be starting in Sept '15 & i'm confused as to whether to go private to St Martins in Mill Hill. Courtland was once highly regarded, but i heard from someone (untrusted source that doesn't have a child at Courtland) that a private tutor commented on how little Courtland children knew academically, compared to other children she tutors, that attend other schools.

Please help. Any knowledge would be much appreciated!

Hi I am looking at school for my DD starting in Sept 15 as am really confused as well!!!

We are still debating between private and state but I have already out his name down for Holland House and Goodwyn. However I just read something bad about both schools. I think St Martin may be too small???

DD currently goes to nursery in Finchley but he will come back to Edgware/Mill Hill for primary and I have no one to exchange school information at the moment. It will be nice to exchange some info with local mums.

On Courtland, I read the falling result as well but I don't think DD will get in as we are just out of the red box!

Yes chiding the right school first time round with a first child is a tough one!

Anyone out there with experiences of Courtland Primary in Mill Hill NW7? I'm happy to hear the good, bad, ugly??

Any views would be much appreciated so please share experiences Mums & Dads!
