is uniform available in shops all year round?

May be a daft question but I've never needed to notice before!

Size 4-5 completely drowns him at mo, so have bought 3-4 & expect he'll get a good 6 months wear out of them. But he'll likely need next size up before the year is out.

Is school uniform easy to pick up throughout the school year or do I need to be buying the next size up now too?

Its very easy to pick up throughout the school year if you shop online.

Yup all year. In supermarkets, department stores etc. Have never struggled.

It's easy to get all yr round.

However styles can vary throughout the year and quality can change even in the same shop so if you have found a style and fit that you really really like if buy two lots now.

Our sainsburys always have school uniform in.

Always there- may have limited range in store but whole range will be on line

If your uniform is standard stuff, grey trousers, grey socks, white polo then it will be fine to get in the shops or online. If your uniform is not as basic as that, I would buy now.

We can get jumpers and trousers/skirts all year round, but the coloured polo shirts are like gold dust from late September and I have to order from the internet.

John Lewis stock uniform year round, and have lots of colours and styles all the time.

Supermarkets have some, but unless you're buying in June/July you might not find what you need.

Ds2 had age 3-4 for reception and still fits going into year 1! Pleased to only have to buy new uniform! for 2 out of my 3!

Went into M&S, all the stuff I wanted was sold out in the size I wanted. The staff were unhelpful. Said that most of it sold out during their 20% off sale and it isn't being restocked. Also that they are only fully stocked in May. Last year I went into Asda to get some pieces and there was nothing, rather frustrating when you need a bigger size, but they said they only had all the stock in June and then they run it down. My local Sainburys also had nothing in stock. Of course you can always buy online but you can't check fabric, fit etc when you buy online.
