Egyptian Timeline homework-how to make it look interesting?

D's has to create something relating to the Egyptians he's thinking a timeline...how can we make this look interesting

Off the top of my head!

Make the actual line interesting - draw the line and in hieroglyphic style letters write "walk like an Egyptian from 3000BC to 525BC" on it! Also draw Egyptian people in this style.

Then you can add the events/illustrations of the events above and below the line.

I know I may have got the dates wrong and that BC is probably not an allowed term anymore, but you get the gist!

You can make the paper look old by using a wet teabag. Leaving it to dry then drawing your timeline.

Or make a pyramid from cardboard and draw tiny Egyptians climbing to the top (going around and up all sides of the pyramid). You can use the line of people as your timeline!

Ah some great ideas here thanks like the mummy idea but not sure how you'd write clearly on the bandage??

I used old sheets torn into strips and used sharpies to write
I did think about painting bandage with PVA glue first and leaving to dry clear to give smooth surface
