Organising school runs to Judith Kerr Primary School

Our DS got a place at the bilingual JKPS in Herne Hill. We live in Tooting and I am working part time and have to plan the school runs now. Does anybody already have experience in school runs to this school coming from a similar direction? We probably will use the train connection, but have heard it is not very reliable. I am also a bit anxious all this travelling might become quite stressful for all of us. Any advice?

It's quite a school run. In my experience for driving Streatham will be a sticky point. There is a train from Wimbledon to Herne Hill. Does it go anywhere near you? How did you get in? On the lottery bit?

Hello, I have a daughter in reception and I am looking for other JKPS parents to share the school run from Greenwich/Lewisham. We live in Blackheath and commute on the Victoria Line in the morning and pick up by car in the afternoon. Open for ideas how to make this journey easier.

hi soundevenfruity, yes, we must have been very, very lucky as got in with the lottery bit. we do not live far from the train station in Tooting, so travel seems manageable (3 stops), just have to rely on others to pick him up on the days I am working.
