what's a PAD day?

Just that really.
I've just got the holiday list for the next school year and we have a PAD day down.

We've never had this before (well, last 2-3 yrs anyway) and inset days have always been tacked on the end of holidays

I have worked out the D stands for Day but that's it!

No idea, sorry...

google wasn't much help either. Kept asking me if I meant bad day.....

Starting to suspect it is code for head teacher needs a day off to attend some event.....

When is it? We could all have a guess.

Personal Absence Day
Pretty Abysmal Description

I tried google, and the best it came up with was

a) initiatives about tech in schools and the provision of iPads
b) the provision of sex education in schools and the availability of sanitary pads and disposal facilities in primaries.

Pupil Activity Day??? Kids are in school, but off-timetable doing something fun.

I was hoping for a purple aardvark day :-(

I was wondering if it was anything like Parent activity day and we could go and be nosy
