Hi,
I applied way back for my DD's school place where we normally live and she was given a school place in London.
However, we are going through a separation and I am currently staying at my mums in the south west. I am pretty much decided but will make final decision before she starts school.
Anyway, I applied again in the South west and she was given a place but they needed confirmation we were actually living there now.

My question is, will her place in London automatically be cancelled or is it possible to keep both open?

Thanks in advance.

You can't have more than one state school reception place open, no. You can only hold one offer at once, so yes the other one will be cancelled. I'm not sure of the exact process of cancellation though!

Thank you Patricia. Maybe that will help me make the decision! I didn't really think about it tbh but that makes sense especially with the huge shortage. I only got 6 th choice in London anyway and wasn't very happy about it.
