"troop" should read "groop" ...

Does it not depend age of child?

TeenAndTween · 16/07/2014 16:24

Heels no it doesn't depend on the age of the child. A level is a level is a level. Whether it is a good level depends on the age.

OP - no idea, not a teacher.

Bumpsadaisie · 16/07/2014 16:49

Thanks both, bumping for any teachers out there!

It would depend on the amount of support given- level 1 assumes a reasonable level of support, much less for level2. I never level a piece of writing, only the writer based on a lot more evidence than 1 piece.

All that aside I'd go with 2c, but I'd be interested in the handwriting, placement on a page etc.

Bumpsadaisie · 16/07/2014 18:18

Thanks, it was written completely by herself in her bedroom.

I'd go 1a/2c dependant on handwriting (letter formation, ascenders and descenders, finger spaces and written on the lines)

There's not a huge amount of punctuation so I'd probably go more for a 1 than a 2.

KittyandTeal · 16/07/2014 18:25

Sorry, just read it again, scrap the punctuation comment.

Was there a exclamation mark on the end?

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 16/07/2014 18:30

You can't really level a single piece of writing, but I'd go with 1b at a guess.

TeenAndTween · 16/07/2014 20:23

OP - not getting at you, but you / your spell checker have improved the spelling in your transcript compared with the original, this will affect any level. e.g. reached / reeched

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 16/07/2014 20:41

I don't think the spell check has changed it enough to make a difference to the level. The inconsistent use of upper and lower case letters probably makes more of a difference.
