Should I be informed of the test mark or not? Had a letter with report saying that my daughter had reached the expected standard but nothing else. If not am I entitled to be told if I ask?
Thanks

It was written in the ARA, assessment and reporting arrangments, that both the score and the mark should be reported, but in practice most schools just report the pass/fail to parents.

Just ask them for and I'm sure they'll give it you.

Haven't got DD's yet, but if her score isn't recorded I intend to ask. I think it makes a big difference whether they got them all right or just passed at 32.

Similarly, big difference between a 'did not meet standard' at 31 and the same at 9.

I havent received the score for my son but I know he didnt pass. I dont need to know the mark, i am confident he will be given the help needed in year 2 which is the whole purpose of the test. altho I belive the test s a waste of time, the teacher can pick up which kids need extra support without the test.
