It is considered good transition into yr1 for children to continue with many aspects of the EYFS curriculum at least into the first half term.

Do children who have reached all the expected goals of th EYFS curriculum get some play as well. Even childen who are exceeding all expecations need play at the age of five.

reallytired - there won't be a distinction between the ones who have reached the goals, the ones who haven't and the ones who have exceeded. not in the sense of what they get to do if that makes sense. Yes there should be some differentiation in actual work but the way the day is made up and amount of choosing time, playing and formal working should be the same for all the children.
