DS normally has M and S uniform but this year it didn't last at all well and I was quite disappointed.

DS2 is going to be starting in September so I need 2 lots of uniform and am hoping to find something that is reasonably priced but lasts well- happy to pay a bit more if it lasts the year.

Plus does anyone have any experience of Woolworths school uniform?

Thanks in advance

George do good boys shorts

Tescos stuff is fine and so cheap it doesn't matter if it needs to be replaced every now and then.

ASDA uniform has lasted better than any others we have tried and we have tried most others. Washes well, tumble dries without shrinking and DD has yet to make a hole in the knee of ASDA trousers (unlike her M&S ones which were holey in weeks!)

EnglishRose1320 · 07/07/2014 20:58

Yes DS's M and S ones were holey straight away.
I don't know where the closest Asda is, will have to check I know we don't have one in town.
Does anyone know if Tesco do a light grey trouser? The grey they have in our local store looks much closer to black than grey.

Sainsburys lasted well here.

We have a Sainsbury's in the next town so will pop over there and have a look.

John Lewis are very good. A bit more expensive than supermarket ones but good fit and quality.

M&S has worked best for me. They are the only ones that do "navy" trousers, socks etc. I then use oohlalabels.com to name it all, these are stick-on labels, not sew-in ones that save hours and do not come off in the wash.

EnglishRose1320 · 08/07/2014 09:28

Thanks for the tip about labels Vpuppy- had a massive problem with things going walkies at school this year.

Will look at the John Lewis website NotContent, cheers

No one know anything about Woolworth's clothing then?
