Hi
DD's school did Year 5 SATS (she's just turned 10) and she scored 5C in Reading and Science 4A in Maths and 4B in English. She's at a private prep school and would need level 5's in all subjects apparently, to stand a chance of getting a place at her (preferred) next school in 2015. She'd be sitting entrance exams in January 2015. Does she have any chance at all of gaining a level 5 in English and Maths based on these results?? I am really worried to be honest, as the school have told us not to worry and that she's doing fine and to "trust in them". However, she's dyslexic and struggles in English and I thought it is usual for children to go up just one "sub section" (ie from 4B to 4A) in a year or have I got this wrong? I am finding it hard to believe she can jump up to level 5 by January given we have long summer hols ahead! Any guidance appreciated.
