I have found out today that DD2 plus 6 or 7 others are being put into a Y3 class next year. My DD2 will be Y2. I have had both my DD's in various mixed classes over the years, and I have no real issues with them normally.
However I think the change between KS1 & KS2 is quite a big one, not just academically, & I'm not sure how it will work out mixing the class.
I'm also a bit concerned that there will be so few Y2 in the class, previously the mixed classes have been approx half of each year group. Thankfully DD2's best friend is in the class with her.
Anyone got any experience of this? TIA
