Some Heads use the word TOUGH LOVE to describe discipline

It seems as though it could hide a lot of unfairness.

If "tough love" is used to describe discipline are you suggesting discipline is unfair?

What do you think it means OP?

Would you prefer just tough, or all love and no discipline?

I would describe my discipline of DD as tough love - she knows she is loved, but I'm hard on her to make sure she behaves the best she can. My 'toughness' is done out of love for her - a desire to give her the best chances in life...
