Why did dd do another KS1 sat paper?

Dd did maths, reading and writing ks1 sat assessments in May with the rest of her class. She told me yesterday she did another reading paper on her own and the teacher told her it was important. Any ideas?

Could it be that they've given her the higher level paper as well as the usual one?

Maybe. I thought they sat one or the other. Why would they leave it this long after doing the other papers?

Was it a retake of the Year 1 phonics test? They are being done this week. My daughter is doing OK with her reading but not finding it easy. She scored better than I thought she might but I'm sure she will be one who has to redo it in Year 2. She got half of them right.

They are technically supposed to sit one or the other however a number of schools don't follow this including my DC school.
