School refuses a viewing visit

Hi

A faith school has refused to let me view their school.

I do understand that open days were arranged last year etc.
However this school has released further available spaces for the interest round and this school can be added as a new interest on the original list.

Can they refuse a viewing taking into consideration they are offering additional places and can be added as a new school on preference list?

The reason they gave me is that if they agreed they had parents here every day.

Thank you

We have just had OfSTED. At least 6 class observations, with the inspector returning to one class with a couple of challenging children more than once and grilling TAs as well as teachers on grouping SEN children etc ... I think they just don't put individual lesson grades in the report now; they certainly still observe! Very thorough and not v positive experience ...

LaBelle - I'm guessing that although it was unpleasant for the school, it probably is a good thing that they are being more rigorous.

I will call the school today and request to disregard the additional info form (priest signed ref) and tell them in a nice way that the reason being that a school that has new spaces and refuses to allow viewings does not make great impressions.

Thanks again to all.
