Hi there,

My son will be joining year 3 at mcs this September. We are relocating to Oxfordshire, and looking for properties around didcot as both of us are working in London. Do you know anyone with same situation where they have to arrange commute to primary child. Unfortunately the mcs buses will not come to didcot.
Many thanks

Does it have to be Didcot it is horrible? The traffic coming into Oxford up the A34 will be a nightmare. Could you live somewhere like Stadhampton- put him on the school bus and then drive to Didcot Parkway?

Thank you Charles, yes that is the other plan we have if there is no way to drop my son from didcot. Thinking of Wallingford as an option. Thanks

Wallingford is lovely. I also see their school bus goes to Henley. Would that be an option and then get the fast train at Reading?

I can vouch for the A34 madness northbound at school run time. Awful.
Have you actually been to Didcot???

Have you considered using the Chiltern Line railway from Thame? That's a really good line into London, and prettier place to live than Didcot.

Um, have you realised there's a flipping massive power station there. It's probably not the most desirable location. Go for a village on the bus route!
