Hello,

I have a boy in Yr 5 at an independent school. They are having exams just after the half term break. Does anyone know how much time/day should they spend studying during the half term break?

Many thanks in advance!

I am sure the school could provide guidance.
But by way of a comparison my DS1 is in Year 5 also at an independent and has 'end of year' exams in Maths, English, Science and Humanities in the week running up to half term. The school gave him a revision timetable the first week back after Easter and he is supposed to spend 30-40 minutes a night on the subject in question. Only Mon- Fri nothing at weekends. So that is quite a lot of revision! TBH some nights he spends less time on it and sometimes a bit more.
Hope that helps a bit.

Since year 3 we have spent between 45 - 60 mins each day of half term revising maths, English and science. There are those who do more and those who do less.
