Newcastle schools waiting lists

We're going to have to make a late application to get a reception place in Newcastle. Long story but we're not able to apply until next week when hopefully we'll have found somewhere to live. LA says all the reception classes where we want to live are full - Jesmond/ South Gosforth / High Heaton area. Does anyone have any experience of whether there's much movement on waiting lists in schools here e.g west jesmond primary?

Ravenswood Primary School in Heaton has 3 form entry - they might have more places than others. My children have been very happy there.

My kids go to Cragside and in the time DD has been there (going into year 4) there has been one child leave her class, one new entry. That's not very positive I know.
Agree Ravenswood being bigger might have more space. Have you also looked at Benton Park primary - it's a nice school too. Or Hotspur? That part of Heaton has some lovely big terraces.
