Ark Priory Academy Acton

Does anyone have experience with the ARK Priory Academy in Acton. We've just been offered a place and are not sure if we want to send our little one there. Thanks for any feedback you might have!

Long days for children = long days for staff which ultimately can lead to burn out.
I too am wary of schools with a high turnover of staff. Usually means poor leadership, bullying and a 'desire' to rid the school of expensive staff. If staff are not happy this can transfer to children too.

Hi Matilda, There does seem to be a lot of lining up...but I think this may be due to the fact there are two schools in the same building and its a good system to enforce to avoid children ending up in the wrong place. I worried a little about it not being arty but my son is currently designing his own Xmas cards and has been participating in a lot of role plays - he likes performing.... There's also a fair amount of singing involved in the Reception maths teaching. Languages tend to be taught by external teachers who are mother tongue. There is definitely a difference between the two schools as I think Priory's headmaster comes from within the Ark system whereas the Bryon headmistress joined from another state school.....I've heard it mentioned a lot that Bryon children don't get the same volume of homework as the Priory ones.

My children go to the Ark Academy school in Redbridge. Isaac Newton. Unfortunately my experience of the Ark Academies has been quite poor. Kids buckling under pressure to perform, little accountability of leadership & governance. Hi exclusion rates. Would not recommend...
