Is anyone familiar with primary schools in Newcastle - particularly around Jesmond / Heaton?
Having worried about which primary school we might get allocated in SE London for what feels like years, circumstances mean we might be moving this summer to Newcastle. We'd be pretty flexible about where but what chance have we got of getting a decent reception school place? I'm assuming that there's generally less pressure for places than in parts of London but also maybe not as much waiting list movement?
Anyone been in a similar position and applied late for a reception place in the area? And any recommendations for good but not massively oversubscribed schools?
We might be able to afford private (would rather not) - but again are we just way too late to get a place?
