She said it was some kind of reading comprehension test. It had 100 questions and she got 40 minutes to do them. That was all I could get out of her but she seemed worried and some of the last questions were really difficult.
She's in year 3.

I work in y3 and have no idea!

BellaVida · 04/04/2014 11:04

Sounds more like it could be a verbal reasoning test with that many questions.

Iamnotminterested · 04/04/2014 18:19

Could it be the one where they have to underline the correct word out of a choice of ? four? that best fits in a sentence? No idea what it's called, sorry.

Suffolk Reading Test?

MidniteScribbler · 04/04/2014 22:55

It's not possibly that old joke test that goes around every so often where the teacher instructs students to make sure they read all of the questions first? The first question is 'write your name on the top right hand corner'. The last question is 'don't answer anything except question one'. It's been around for years and I still see it pop up quite regularly. It's supposed to make student remember to read the entire paper before starting to answer any questions.

Iamnotmintrested I've quizzed her further and it is the type of test you describe. Not clear what the point of it was but not worried either as every parents evening I've ever been to they've been keen to tell me she has an excellent vocabulary and comprehension level.
