Books to practice reading comprehension for year 5

My dd's nc level is higher in writing than in reading, I suspect because she is a reluctant reader.

Any advice on books I could buy her to help her practice comprehension at home?

Schofield and sims do a set of 4 graded comprehension books for KS2. Unfortunately you have to buy the teacher's guide to get the answers but otherwise they are great.

I like Scholastic comprehension books but not sure what levels they go up to.

I like the Galore Park Junior English series for reading comprehension exercises.

Does she enjoy reading? If so, I would concentrate on encouraging her to read a range of books.

I'm trying to do that too, Emma - I've told her she spends too much time on her DS3! She does not seem to want to read naturally but there are certain books that take her interest.
