Hi, anyone know anything about good state primaries in windsor. Moving from London where DS goes to an incredible state school, very academic, outstanding Ofsted, even though about 90 per cent have english as second language. Am loathe to leave this school and have done loads of research and cannot find anything comparable in Windsor.
Am not looking for a flaming about how outstanding ofsted isn't necessarily that great, or how windsor won't have same level of diversity! Just looking for advice on schools from people who are there!

I have a friend who moved into the Windsor area and she missed the January deadline for school preference requests. She was offered one pretty poor school. She now drives into Buckinghamshire which is not too far from where she lived and has since moved to Bucks. I got the impression that the good schools were oversubscribed so you need to check where the spaces are before you get too excited. Her local school took 30 per year and she was 22nd on the waiting list!
