More lost swimming goggles - how do you label them?

DS has lost his goggles again. Does anyone have a fail-safe way of labelling them? The best I've come up with is permanent ink, writing his name on the strap, but its not really permanent on swimming goggles.

I haven't tried it on goggles, but I had success labelling awkward things (like scooters and helmets and spoons for camp) with nail polish. I use those nail art pens, you can write with them like a pen.

Ds2 has gone through 6 pairs this year. I've said that he has to pay for any more himself out of his pocket money and amazingly I've not had to buy any for the last 2 months.

Where do they go???? I reckon his swimming school has an eBay site selling second hand goggles,

Definitely sew a nametape around the strap. It's the only way to go.

Now can anyone tell me how I name flippers??

DDs woggle/noodle/whatever it's called is labelled with a sharpie, oft topped up. Would that work on flippers or are they too smooth?
