Hi I'm interested in getting the reading eggs program on the Internet but I'm also interested in maths seeds. What do other mums think of both program's and I just wanted to know what sorts of discounts did you get on both program's. my son is 5. Anyway thanks

DS's used reading eggs pre-school but have now outgrown it. It is Australian, not American, but the voices used on the UK seem to be English accents. To be honest I couldn't tell a big difference between phonics on reading eggs and jolly phonics, which many schools use, except it doesn't have actions. The basic end of the programme starts by introducing sounds, but the order is slightly different. It encourages sounding out words. DS's found the games engaging when they were younger. It didn't appear to cause any confusion when they started school.

We had a free trial for it and it was ok? But a bit 'buggy' for me to be happy to spend money on it IYSWIM. The maths part is useless tbh as 4 year old ds (in reception) scored the maximum on the initial 'test' back in Sept so there was nothing for him to work on and he's by no means a genius!!

We had it, my son enjoyed it. He didnt learn to read from it tho, to him it was fun games which he didnt relate in any way to learning to read books.
