DD started Reception in September. No problems until this week.
Every day this week she has come home and 'volunteered' (normally I get an 'I don't know' or 'can't remember' when I ask what she did today) that she has been pushed over by boy X. I ask her if the teacher dealt with it to which she replies 'yes' and we move on. I never mention it to her again that day so as not to plant ideas. She has no marks/bruises and doesn't seem affected in any other way.
My question is, should I approach the teacher at all to see if there is a specific issue between them, or something similar?
Firstly, I realise she is 5, and they do make stuff up or blow stuff out of proportion. Secondly, I have the utmost faith that the strict, but lovely teacher would have dealt with the situation appropriately.
I know the parents, who I am quite friendly with, of Boy X are currently having him assessed for autism, flagged by the school and I don't want to add to their burdens so approaching them is not really an option and I don't think that would be appropriate anyway as the behaviour is confined to school.
I am willing to be told IABU to approach the school at all but please don't obliterate me. I am very happy with the way it is (according to DD) being dealt with and I feel sure I would be told by the school if there was a major problem. This is just opinion gathering to check I shouldn't be MORE concerned about the daily reports.
Thank you in advance wise MNers!
