Hello, anyone else on the reserve list for Colet court 7+?

Yes, for 7+. Can't see why it wouldn't be the same for 8+.

the list is so long, how many can be intake - 1-2?

can't be 20! think about it: its just 3 of us here (MamaMia, cheese & me) so where are the other 37 mums then (if 20 per each list)? surely there would have been more of us joing this tread if 40 in total?

I heard from someone else who has a DS on the reserve list and was informed by the school. As for more people being on this thread, I am myself relatively new to MN having heard about this chat form only a few weeks ago...

we r on the reserve list as well. I joined this website today. I know that there are many parents out there who never heard about this website so the fact that they are not posting here, does not mean that they are not on the list:)

I have a son who went through this process last year. I was told yesterday by someone with a son in Year 2 who had 7+ offers from both King's and Colet Court this year, that when she accepted Colet Court yesterday, the school (CC) told her that "pretty much everyone had accepted this year and so wait list places were looking unlikely." I am sorry to be the person to tell you this, but you'd asked about calling the school and I would suggest perhaps that is a good idea - to confirm this (or not). I really hope things turn out well in the end for you.

I think they made the calls yesterday. I don't think we are in!
Seems very long but with reserve lists they make the calls.

Went through this last year. Terribly difficult, but the ds got a place. To those waiting, I don't think they over offer, but many, many people apply for 2 or 3 places, and are as likely to get into all three as they are into only one. We also worried that being on the reserve would be a reflection on the boy, but he's near the top of his class in several subjects, he's thriving. The first few weeks can be quite overwhelming, but it's a good place. Best of luck to all. I know how dreadful a time this is.

Ditto WestSideDad's experience - once they're in from the wait list they thrive just like those that went straight in.

The wait did seem unending and wasn't straight after the cut-off. The school probably won't tell you where you sit on the wait list but calling them (once) to find out if there is any movement still expected definitely won't prejudice your case. They are human and understand families might be going through hoops.

I cant imagine how it would be like to be on the "maybe" rather than Yes or No. Are you all 7+ going to resit 8+?
I have had the heart break after being one of the 30(80-40-10wl). I would really appreciate if any of you could share about the 8+ English as I didn't know until their letter about story writing.

What does reserve list mean? And when does it

TCSW, your source is definitely incorrect. DS got in both KCS and CC for 7+ this year and I went for KCS. So at least one person has rejected CC :)
