Help please! Year 1 interview!!

Hello, I have just received an interview for a position as Year 1 class teacher. I would really appreciate any help in planning. I have been asked to prepare a short writing task to be taught to the children in 30 minutes! At the end of the session they want to see some recorded writing? I have 12 years teaching experience but have never attended an interview before and am feeling very, very nervous!? Many thanks.

I am not a teacher, I work in HR so I can't help you plan a lesson. I would say you should do something that you know works, looks good and isn't too safe. Also make sure you run to time. Wear something memorable not just dull colours.
