I am having a wobble. Ds1 is in year 1, ds2 is reception. We have lived at our address for 5 years. We are moving outbof school catchment area by a mile but keping dc in school. The really can't expel us can they??!!

No they cannot. You can move to the other end of the country and keep your children in this school if you want (although the school run might be a bit difficult).

no. They might look into it if you had been renting within catchment for the application process but as you have lived there 5 years they won't be interested.
