Primary schools in Hove - Dilema

Hello Mumsnetters

My husband and I are about to move to Hove, Brighton and are in such a quandary over infant school choices. We are currently overseas and don't have the luxury of visiting these schools ourselves.

We're trying to choose between Davigdor/Summerhill, or West Hove Infant and Primary schools. We're aware that we'll have to wait to get in, but I'd love to know other parent's opinions.

We can't sign a rental agreement before we're clear where we'd prefer our children to go to school.
FYI There is a place available in West Hove Infants for one of my 2 school going kids this year.

Looking forward to your responses!
Paula

Hi, I'm about to move to Hove, how did you get on with your school choices? I'd love to know x

Hi.
I'm in the area if I can help at all? Have the council offered you anything yet or are you waiting until you move?
For what it's worth I know both schools mentioned above have wait lists for reception places, davigdor in particular has taken a number of bulge classes over the last few years which has had a massive knock on effect.
I know this as we have just been through it! Let me know if I can advise
