Hello,

Please sign this petition to help save the school my cousin's children go to.

www.change.org/petitions/ceredigion-county-council-keep-trefilan-v-c-primary-school-open-2

The proposal of this council is to send the children to another school that is over 10 miles away and over half the children or only of foundation phase age. They also do not all fit in one school, but are being used to fill up spare capacity in a number of schools, meaning they will be spilt up from their friends. Further to that, the school they are being send to is going to close only 1 year after they are being moved there!

Please help secure the future of my cousin's children and all other poor little children going there. Please sign and share this with whoever you can - every signature counts. Thank you.

I hope is ok to post this on here. These children are in desperate need for a secure future. Thank you.

Lana

p.s.: Like my cousin said, we all do nothing until it is our own children's school and this is what the council is relying on. Please help them now and they will help anybody else should they find themselves in this situation in the future. This is why I felt I needed to post this on here, because my children are in the school that is save for now, but I felt I needed to do something because you never know when you will need help yourself. :(

Signed. They have closed the rural schools where I grew up in South Wales. So sad.

Thank you Jimmy. The thing is, there is nowhere else similar for them to go and I think if they do go ahead my cousin will have to leave her job and home educate them. She doesn't want to do that, but she feels left with no choice.

Please help save this lovely little school. If we lived a little closer, I would send my own children there. x

No problem Smile. I've forwarded it to my mum who lives in Wales. I'm sure she'll spread the word too. Fingers crossed for you.

Thank you so much Jimmy, it is so hard on these children and their families, they've already got nothing left in the area, so the school is the heart of their community, without it people and children will just be spread out over a 20 mile radius. It is sad to watch that something like this is being consulted on in the first place as it is clear that it is the wrong thing to do!

Thank you to those that have signed it. To all those that have not signed this yet, please help as these children are in desperate need and every signature counts! Thank you.

Already signed lanaaa. DD1's school in the same county is also under threat. It is a worrying time for us all. We're trying to set up a similar petition and I'll post a link too if we manage it.
