Language based activity ideas for TA interview

I have an interview for a TA position in a primary school. For my activity I have to plan prepare and deliver a language based activity to promote talk and interaction. I will have three lower ability reception children and must demonstrate my ability to engage with reluctant talkers. Any ideas greatly appreciated. Was thinking about puppets/teddy bears but not really sure about how to use these.
Thanks

You could share a short simplified traditional tale like goldilocks and the 3 bears.

Read the story once through and every time the hear the word bear they have to make the sign for bear (make this up before hand)

Talk the story through what happened in the beginning, middle, end

Give them a4 photocopies of each page of the story, but keep one back. Working together Ask them to put the pictures in order remember beginning middle end. Support this.

Collaboratively Then get them to retell the story and make any changes.

Then they could hot seat one of the characters.

Collaboratively Retell the story again.

End

Follow up in classroom could be to tell the story with puppets to the rest of the class.
