Reception application Catholic Schools

Quick question if I put all Catholic schools down as my schools of choice (I live in London) do I need to send all of my six choices baptism certificates, proof of residence, priest's reference or is it just my first choice? Also I am on the periphery for my first choice and the school is oversubscribed. I do go to church etc. but is there anything else I can put on my reasons for wanting that school that is likely to be favourable or put me up the queue for a place?

Re: your first question- yes. Each school needs a complete application. Re: your second question, only if it already forms part of the published admissions ceriteria for that particular school.

You have to do what each individual school says you need to do to meet their admission criteria. The probability is that this will involve the furnishing of priest's references etc. Your problem is that you need to get all this info to each school by the 15th Jan as this is the cut off date for on-time applications. Nearly all schools who require such information need that by the 15th or they will not accept the information, which hopefully will give you some priority in the admission criteria order. If you do not submit the information by the 15th your application will simply counted as being based on admission and your chances of being offered a place diminished by being much further down the admission criteria order.

There is absolutely nothing that you can put down on the application form which will influence whether you get an offer of a place or not, it is all about where you are in the admission criteria order.
