Any tips for story books to help children who are changing schools? Mine will be in a few months, moving country and going into a new school in the middle of a term. They're boys, 8 and 6, if that makes any difference. Thanks a lot.

My son changed school half way through year 3 so he was 7 at the time. He coped really well and the new school naked him feel at home on his first day by giving him 2 buddies from his new class. By the end of the first few days he had made friends and was perfectly happy there so much so you would have though he had always been there. May have been easier as although it was a different school at least it was still in the uk so he was familiar with how they run etc. Children and very resilient to change and seem to cope very well I think its much harder for us as parents as you can't help but worry. I hope if all goes well for them Smile

Very kind, thanks. I am quite sure they'll be fine; just thought that having a book or two would help us to talk about it in advance. Glad yours had a good experience.
