Does anyone know where there are spaces left in K&C primary schools?

Hello. My daughter is currently attending a school with a recently awful OFSTED report and a poor staff record check (scary!), so we are looking to have her moved to another school, either from early next year or, at worst, from next Sept 2014. She is currently in reception and will be in year 1 by next September. Teh council wouldn't tell me where there are spaces left. Has anyone had a similar experience perhaps and can help? Thanks!

You need to follow the in-year admissions process which should be on their website . Until you start it, places available now may be allocated to others, so not be the same by the time you do. You can ring schools yourself to ask or just go on their waiting lists to see what comes up

Really? The admissions officer wouldn't tell you where there are spaces left? That doesn't sound very helpful. Although the council administers the admissions of the school places, I would call each school I was interested in to see if they have any places. Then, call the council to see how I could apply to move. The RBKC website should have some information on what, if anything, you need to do in order to move schools.

I live in K&C and know some of the schools well, is it a faith/non? I know of one faith school where the poor Ofsted results is normally down to a high level of SEN not poor teaching
