Ds3 is in primary 2. He is stage 10 ORT and has done 2,5,10 and is doing his 3 x tables. He is in the top group but, apart from a small, struggling group I don't think the others are too far behind. I am not a teacher and so don't know what is really expected at this stage. You need to make an appointment to speak to his teacher to find out exactly where he is with everything, whether they have concerns, what they are doing to support him and what you can do to help at home.

That said ds1 was well ahead at this age where as ds2 was well behind and yet I would now say ds2 is doing every bit as well as his brother and looks like he may go on to do better academically. He was just a slow starter and ds1's a lazy so and so!
