Hi, my daughter is due to start reception in Sept. next year and I'm choosing the schools for her now. Any recommendation/experiences at primary schools near Embankment/Charring Cross/Covent Garden? I want her to be in a friendly and happy environment. Thanks!

I an't speak for the situation in Westminster specifically, but being London, you might find that your options are limited. There may well only be one school that you have a realistic chance of getting into.

Your best bet to start with is to put the postcode of your home address into here. This should give you a list of schools to start with. You can then use the admissions booklet and info from the LA to work out which ones are realistic options, which might help narrow your search down a bit.

A colleagues children went to St Clement Danes. She/really like the atmosphere. It was very multi ethnic which she liked. Everyone valued. They celebrated St Clements dash by dressing as oranges and lemons.
I do recall her complaining that one of her children struggled with literacy. English first language and they were slow to pick this up because he was ahead of children who were new to English. This/was a few years back.
I got the impression it was a happy place.

You need to visit a couple tbh . Bear in mind they break up next week and won't be back until around 6th Jan.
