Hello - thank you for taking the time to read this.

I'm looking for reccommendations for top prep schools in the Surrey area...

I am very pro co-ed and keen for him to be a day boy..Ideally, after common entrance he'd be headed to, somewhere like Rugby/Wellington etc.

Many thanks!

Hi LIZS.

We are currently living in Putney, but are planning to sell up and make the move early next year.

We have no set ideas of where in Surrey we are headed- idea thrown around so far include: Esher, Cobham, Guildford, Epsom...

Take a look at Lambrook. Just in Berkshire. We moved to the area 20 years ago (from Mortlake).

Thanks Grovel - will do.

Eagle House School is wellington's 'prep' and meant to be very good.

Look at the websites for the leavers destinations . The outer suburbs and Surrey schools tend to feed two or three local schools and only send the odd one here and there off to Harrow, Wellington , Radley or wherever . Popular follow on schools would be Reigate,Whitgift, RGS Guildford, Charterhouse (boys not coed) Cranleigh, Epsom, St Johns, Kingston Grammar, or Hampton . Compare these lists to those of Newton Prep or The 'Thomases' which send kids across a further geographical area. In theory CE ought to be good for all schools but they are all so different.
You might be better off looking in Berks. This said Amesbury Prep in Hindhead is thought to be amazing but I've only heard of it because they made a pop song!

Co-educational Schools of Leavers form Newton PREP

Bedales School
Bradfield College
Bryanston School
Cranleigh School
Eastbourne College
Emanuel School
Epsom College
King’s School, Canterbury
Lancing College
Latymer Upper School
Marlborough College
Oundle School
Sevenoaks School
Wellington College

or FeltonFleet in Cobham sends a few further afield but am afraid I don't know anything about this school

Aldro in Godalming - traditional boys prep day and boarding. Haslemere Prep - boys day. Brookham in Liphook, co-ed feeds wide range of public schools. Not sure how south you are happy to look, any maybe too far but Westbourne House - co-ed, day and boarding in Chichester would fit the bill. Feltonfleet at Cobham? Best thing to google Tatler School Guide - you can search it all online. Good luck
