X Box Halo Game, do your DC play it?

Ds age 8 has asked for this for Xmas, I was surprised as he doesnt know it or have it on anything else. He;d played it at a friends house apparently without my knowledge and now wants it for Xmas. When I spoke to the parent of the child she said it was harmless and not violent at all it was rated a 16???? due to the fact there were guns in it.

What do others think?

I wouldn't give it to an 8 year old. I'm a gamer myself, but I'd rather keeps the guns and guts and killing away from children for as long as I can.

Well, no, my ds is 13 and I wouldn't let him have a 16 game, so definitely not an 8 yr old.

Yes, my boys love the Halo games. But they are 18, 15 & 13. I would say that 8 is too young for the intensity of the combat.

My 15 year old plays Halo but I do not allow his 9 year old brother.

ok I think I need to show him some of these posts as I told him "Santa" would not be sending him Halo as it was not suitable
