Primary schools in Battersea

Hi all,

I was really hoping anyone could comment on the local primary schools in Battersea.

We are looking (ahead of time) for a place for at either Shaftesbury Park or Wix and would appreciate any guidance or comment on the quality of education, the French streams, the heads and any other personal experiences?

Hi. Try nappyvalleynet if you have not done so already, you will get more response I think.

I have heard a couple of odd comments re Wix this year - not as child centred in the early years as I might have expected. But all hearsay so may be nothing. Haven't heard anything at all about Shaftesbury Park yet - bilingual stream is brand new so maybe a little early. Have you visited either?

We are a little further away and happy with our local (but generally under-rated, i.e. not BV or HW) school so far.

Agreed re: Nappy Valley Net. It is excellent for very specific local info on schools, etc.

thanks very much both. will check that out and yes, you're right about the bi-lingual stream at Shaftesbury Park only just starting. guess it is a little early but will keep my ear to the ground and report back x
